1. Sperm, Testosterone and Minefields
First chapter of "Castration in the Womb - every man a guinea pig"
The strangest thing about this strange story is that the progressive chemical castration with a decline in sperm and testosterone is taking place without the public outcry that the COVID vaccination, for example, has triggered.
In the next 29 chapters we will explain why and how sperm and testosterone is declining, If you only want to know the consequences of this castration, you have to wait for Chapter 30: “Effects of testosterone decline” and get the gist.
If you want to know the why and how, read on.
From the beginning: When I was in kindergarten, I wanted a doll. Mom was not amused, obviously, but I didn't understand why. After some worried consultations with my grandmother, I at least got a big teddy bear. My great-grandmother made him a little bed with sheets, a down comforter and a pillow, just as it should be.

Can I be blamed for being interested in gender-specific play behavior, hormones and the regulation of behavior in general ever since? For decades, I followed the exciting research findings on testosterone, its influence on physique and sex determination, or on play behavior and character. I was amused to learn that pastors have lower testosterone levels than actors, or that testosterone levels rise during tango dancing and after a football victory.
This was purely a private interest and it would never have occurred to me to write about it. But now we have a new fact:
Worldwide sperm counts have fallen by half, according to the media.
The male sex hormone, testosterone, is also in a similar decline. We hardly hear anything about this, which is actually surprising. While the sperm count primarily affects fertility, the effects of testosterone are more diverse; although they also affect fertility, they also affect physique and behavior. Therefore, testosterone depletion should have interesting individual and perhaps even societal effects. However, the topic is only addressed - if at all - in cautious hints at most, because in the minefields of gender discussion and political correctness, people risk their heads and positions.
This not only means that one of the most exciting chapters in modern biology is missed, but above all that we remain blind to the experiment that every developing male human being is subjected to without being asked while still in the womb: a creeping chemical castration.
I was already interested in these issues when ideological gender discussions and political correctness were inexistent. Besides, I have nothing to lose. So, I can speak, but how should this story be told?
A doctor experiences the limits of life. He cannot overlook the animal nature of man, and when he steps out into politics, he sees the herd instinct of political parties, and in any parliament, he sees the parallels to a monkey rock - mammalian behavior everywhere. And having worked for years in the dissecting room, in the laboratory, in intensive care units or lunatic asylums, he no longer believes that everything that seems true is actually true, and he knows the dangers of lofty self-deception.
And as a poor orthodox and scholarly physician he is fed up for having being criticised during a lifetime as having a lack of “holistic” awareness. Therefore, he has no inclination to present a neatly objective non-fiction book that fits into the compartmentalized framework of specialist disciplines, but then he delivers it, this holisticness, in all its glory, from the embryo to the coffin, from the body to the soul, from the single cell to Bible, historiography and geopolitics. And if indignation threatens, well, let it be a compliment.
Once again, if you want to keep things simple, wait for chapter 30: “Effects of testosterone decline” and get the gist.
Next time in chapter 2 we will discuss the sperm calamity. And this link takes you to the start of the book.
