It is not about denouncing or converting foxes. It is about reducing exposure to toxins.
A physician does not earn his wage by spouting learned opinions, but only by improving a condition. This is why I could never be satisfied by mere writing or being a “writer”. I am going for impact.
This requires a diagnosis. Only then can we talk about therapy. Where do we stand today?
The problems we are talking about here have been known for over 30 years. Little has happened. Those responsible talk their way out of it with allegedly unclear evidence. The consequences are getting worse from year to year, even though this inaction is illegal and even unconstitutional.
As long as we only preach to the already convinced vegetarian Greens and Lefties, we will not find any majorities capable of making political decisions. Decisions can only be reached if we not only get consumers, producers, retailers, authorities, politicians and the media on board from left to right, but above all the decision-makers who let themselves be chauffeured between their villas and carpeted floors in Mercedes and Cadillacs. It must be made clear to them in particular that the creeping and illegal castration does not stop at the bosses and their offspring. So much for the treatment plan.
Before a doctor starts a therapy, he should set a measurable therapy goal: What is to be achieved? The minimum goal would be that I can buy plastic-free milk, cheese and meat at the corner store again. Another goal would be for this to be possible in many stores. Another would be for wholesalers to join in so that every consumer has a real choice. You can think further, all the way to a consumer strike against mineral water and plastic packaging and beyond that to municipal and state action. Each step creates new awareness and new opportunities ...
The following chapters can also be read out of order. Readers in a hurry can skip straight to chapter 30, “Effects of the testosterone decline”. For the others, we will proceed in the following way:
The next section II will discuss the role of testosterone.
Section III shows the effect of plastics and phthalates on testosterone, development and behavior.
The central section IV reviews where the decrease in testosterone is already having an impact, be it on the body, behavior or social attitudes.
Sections V and VI pose the question of the need for action and possible courses of action, and Section VII catches up on some neglected aspects.
This compulsory scientific exercise will be followed by a holistic freestyle part on some historical and political issues.
Now on to chapter 7: Testosterone makes the Man. And this link takes you to the start of the book.
